To sign up for Catholic Match, you’ll enter your name, email address, location, and gender. You’ll also enter your birthdate and your diocsese.

Next, you’ll select your physical attributes. These include questions about tattoos and piercings. You’ll be asked if you have children, and questions about your family. There are also questions about your fitness level, diet, political views, and how often you watch tv.

Next, you’ll be asked some in depth questions about your religion. You’ll be asked if you are a convert, how often you attend church, the type of mass you prefer, and how important your faith is to you. You’ll be asked if you believe specific church teachings. These include the sanctity of life and the infallibility of the pope.

Then, you are prompted to add photos. Once this is complete, you’ll write your About Me section. You can write as much or as little as you like here. However, you aren’t allowed to write anything contrary to Catholic teachings or include contact information.

You’ll be asked to enter your favorite hobbies and interests next. Categories include travel, sports, reading, music, media, foods, faith, and activities. You can add anything you wish in these categories, or select from the most common entries.


The sign up process covers all the basics in your profile. However, there’s still more that you can add. There are many questions you can answer in your own words, including your ideal match and describing your faith.

You can also take a temperament quiz and create interview questions that others can answer.

Premium Membership

You’ll need a premium membership to communicate with others. Premium membership includes the ability to send and reply to messages and the ability to chat in forums and chatrooms. The six month membership also includes the ability to see when your messages have been read.

Member Interactions

You can conduct a basic or advanced seach. Search criteria is broken down into basic, appearance, background, lifestyle, faith, and miscellaneous. This makes it easier to find and filter for the things that are most important to you.

You can also complete the Match Portrait to recieve matches that you are compatible with. Match Portrait is a multiple choice quiz. Sections include interests, outlook, background, communication style, emotionality, finances, sexuality, values, sexuality, vision, traits, and preferences.

Once you’ve completed your Match Portrait, you can view your matches. You’ll see your potential match’s picture and some profile information. You can select yes, no, or unsure. You can also view their full profile before you make a decision. At the bottom, you’ll see the areas that you are most compatible with the other person.

If you select no, you won’t see the match again. If you select unsure, they wil remain in your match que so you can decide on them later. If you both select yes, you’ll be notified via emotigram.

Chatrooms and forums are another great way to connect with other members. You can make friends and get and receive advice. The chat rooms are limited to 20 members. This makes it easy to keep track of the conversation.
