To sign up for Farmers Only, you’ll enter your email address, location, age, gender, and sexual orientation. You’ll be asked to upload a photo. You can upload it from your device or Facebook.
Profiles on Farmer’s Only are short and sweet. You’ll enter your basic information, including occupation, children, physical attributes, and religion. You’ll also select the type of relationship you are looking for. Options include friendship, casual, and long term dating. You’ll also write a bit about who you are.
Next, you’ll select your match preferences. These are the same questions you answered about yourself, but this time you’ll select what you are looking for in a match. You’ll also write about what you are looking for in your ideal partner.
You can add more photos if you wish. It’s recommended to have between three to six photos on your profile. One headshot, one full body shot, and at least one candid or action shot.
You can conduct a basic or advanced search. You can also meet members by selecting Discover. Discover is the site’s version of hot or not. You’ll see a member’s photo, username, age, and location. You can select like or pass. You can also view their profile or send them a message.
When you view someone’s profile, you can favorite them, flirt with them, or send them an email message.
You can view members by who is online as well. You can sort the results by age range, distance, youngest first, or oldest first. You can also choose to see only profiles with photos.
You’ll need a premium membership in order to communicate with other members. A premium membership allows you to:
- Send and recieve emails
- View members status
- View members last login date
- Post unlimited photos
- See who has liked your profile
- Access the mobile site
- See who you have liked and disliked
Farm Phone is one of the best features of the site. For a small monthly fee, you can receive all your messages on the site as text messages, and respond to them via text. If the other person isn’t using Farm Phone, they will view your texts as email messages on the site.
There’s also a Farmers Only store. You’ll find t-shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs, and posters. The items either have quotes from Farmers Only, or something related to being country. For example, a t-shirt that asks “Your bed or mine?” with a picture of a truck bed.
The lack of features on Farmers Only is disappointing. The profiles are short and contain no information about hobbies or interests. However, Farm Phone allows you to communicate via text without giving out your phone number.
